Universal increases price of single-day tickets

Universal Orlando Resort has increased the prices of single-day tickets.

The cost of a 1-Day, 1-Park ticket is now $119, plus tax. Universal’s highest-priced option has jumped to $179, plus tax. The 1-Day, 2-Park option, which allows guests to go between Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, ranges between $174 to $234, plus tax.

Universal is not the only theme park company that has raised its prices in recent months, with Disney at both its California and Florida parks in early October.

Two murals in Downtown Orlando vandalized with anti-LGBTQ messages

Two murals, one belonging to The Center Orlando and the other to Zebra Youth, were vandalized Friday night, according to a Facebook post from The Center.

The LGBTQ nonprofit organization posted this photo around noon displaying one of the murals that was spray-painted with hateful messages.

3 people killed, others injured in Palm Bay domestic violence shooting, police say

Three people have been killed, and two others are injured after a domestic violence shooting in Palm Bay on Saturday night, according to the Palm Bay Police Department.

Around 9:30 p.m., police responded to the 2700 block of Woodlake Apartments regarding a shooting, a press release stated.

Upon arrival, officers found three people dead inside an apartment, police said. The victims are 60-year-old Angella Suglam, 79-year-old Stephen Suglam, and 31-year-old Lisa Suglam, according to officers.

3 people allegedly connected to Jan. 6 insurrection arrested in Florida: FBI

Exactly three years after the Capitol riot, three "January 6 fugitives" have been arrested in Lake County, according to a statement from the FBI Tampa Division.

The FBI executed three federal arrest warrants on Saturday morning at a ranch in Groveland, according to the statement. Jonathan Daniel Pollock, Olivia Michele Pollock, and Joseph Daniel Hutchinson III were taken into custody, the FBI said.

Two teens killed in motorcycle crash in Brevard County, FHP says

Two teens died late Saturday night after being involved in a motorcycle crash, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

According to a crash report, the two teens, a 19-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman, were on a motorcycle traveling southbound on U.S. 1. A truck made a U-turn and also began traveling on U.S. 1 ahead of the motorcycle, FHP said. The motorcycle didn’t slow down in time and collided with the truck, the report said.

4 suspects arrested after woman held captive in Pine Hills, deputies say

Three men and one woman have been arrested and accused of armed kidnapping, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Around 2:10 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to Barnett Place in Pine Hills after a woman in her 40s knocked on someone’s door and asked for help, explaining she had been held against her will.

Deputies say she had minor injuries.

Orlando Police arrest 15-year-old in shooting death of Operation Desert Storm veteran

A 15-year-old teen has been arrested after he allegedly fatally shot a U.S. veteran back in February, the Orlando Police Department said.

The teen has been charged with first-degree murder with a firearm after several months of investigation.

"There are young people in our communities that are making bad decisions, and these costing them their life because while the suspect is not dead, basically after being charged with this, their life is about over," said Bishop Kelvin Cobaris.

Family of victims in Orlando Easter Day shootings speak for the first time

The Fulmore family held media availability to speak about their family members that were shot and killed on Easter morning. The news conference was led by Darnita Fulmore, the daughter of 69-year-old victim Carole Fulmore and mother of one of the two child victims, 13-year-old Damionna Reed.

Orlando Police responded to a shooting on April 9 where officials say two children and a woman were found dead inside a home, and the suspected shooter, Lacorvis Tamar Daley, was shot and killed by police.
